National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) – NCCE Library

The NCCE Library has existed since the inception of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) in 1929. Initially known as the All India Cooperative Institutes Association, its name was changed in 1961. Over the years, the NCUI has experienced substantial growth and currently encompasses 280 member institutions across India. Libraries most frequently give a position of quietness for consideration.

The primary objective of the NCUI is to foster and expand the cooperative movement within India. This is achieved through educating and guiding individuals, facilitating the establishment of cooperative enterprises, and promoting cooperative principles. The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) serves as the vehicle through which the NCUI accomplishes this objective.

The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE), established in 1958, is a pivotal component of the NCUI's mission. Initially known as the "All India Cooperative Instructors Training Centre," the NCCE has expanded its focus to provide comprehensive training interventions tailored to the diverse requirements of cooperative institutions. Today, it stands as a dynamic institution offering diploma courses, leadership development programs, and specialized training for cooperative educators.

The NCCE Library, a cornerstone of this mission, is one of the oldest libraries in the cooperative realm. Its extensive collection of approximately 7000 items, encompassing books, magazines, and publications from the NCUI and other esteemed organizations, serves as an invaluable resource for research and learning in the field of cooperation. Through its commitment to knowledge dissemination and its diverse collection, the library plays a pivotal role in fostering the growth and advancement of the cooperative movement in India.

The library's primary function is to disseminate information and resources to individuals engaged in cooperative endeavors. Through the provision of books and other pertinent materials, the library facilitates the acquisition of knowledge regarding cooperatives and their potential to generate positive societal change.
